We fixed that problem by putting graphite into the speedometer cable and speedometer itself. In the back where the cable insets in the unit. It helped for a while, but after a few thousand it went back bouncing. If you are really fed up with, I would think a new speedometer itself would fix...
Brad Penn in all three of our cars. One has 383 with Flat Tappet cam. Other a 406 Roller motor on E85. The new motor will be on Brad Penn too. Best oil out there hands down, plus it's green.
