Hi everyone I’m new here and this is my very first post and I was hoping I could get some help with an issue I’m having with my car. I have an 82 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme with a 3.8 v6 that suddenly will not start anymore. When I turn my key I have accessory power but when I try to start it nothing happens no crank no starter tick nothing. I dropped the steering column and replaced the ignition switch and nothing. I seen a YouTube video of someone jumping the wires in the neutral safety switch and when I tried it still nothing. I could use as much help as I could get cause I don’t know where to go from here🥲

Possible it could be a fusible link as the are atleast 2 on our cars.
I’ve checked all the fuses in the fuse box under the driver side dash and every checked out fine. Is there other fuse locations I’m not aware of?

It'll be on the engine harness at the starter stud for the battery cable. OE have a molded round plastic cover on the splice.

Check the fusible links by the starter. They look like this. The fusible link is the wire. Check it for a break. Should be easy to feel. The plastic barrels are factory butt connectors.

Check for 12v constant power (regardless of key position) at the large gauge cable coming directly from your battery to the large post on the starter (almost always going to have power there) then check for 12v power at the purple (I believe) signal wire on the small post of the starter while you have someone twist the key to the crank position. If you read zero volts, check all the fuesable links. Your definitely getting power through at least one of them because you have some interior functions working currently. If you do have power at that small post, you have a starter issue. Smack the steel casing of the starter motor with a hammer just for fun a couple times and see it anything changes when you twist the key.

Do any of these links go to the neutral safety switch? I tested for 12v to the pins on the switch that lead to the starter solenoid and it I wasn’t getting any voltage there
