I always run 10w40. Pull a valve cover off a wiggle the rocker arms. This will tell you which lifters have bleed down. If your nit in a big hurry you can pull that lifter out and let it soak in oil for a few hours. Just make sure it goes back in the same spot. Then readjust the rocker arm.
I just picked up a set for 120 on ebay. They are the poly bushings and hardware. Had them in three days. Going to try and install them this weekend. Poly us better because it wont rot and settle over time.
I got all my super flux leds from ebay. Got the mounting boards from radio shack. Probably will if i get around to it. Been so busy doing body work and the custom interior.
If the heads are still on did you check to see if you had proper valve to piston clearence. If the cam is to big the valves can be hitting the top of the pistons. Otherwise put it on tdc with the chain off and spin the cam to see if its hitting.
I have a 79 malibu with 350sbc. It has been lowered 2.5 inches. Frame has not been notched. Will a 15x10 rim with 4.00 backspacing work. Or will a 15x8 rim with 3.75 work better. I want to get as wide of tire as i can while keeping it lowered.
I was wondering if anybody has seen or done this. I thought about putting a first gen camaro lower front spoiler on my 79 malibu. Any thoughts or pics would be appreciated.
They do around where i live. Their gas is always almost 10 cents cheaper. And it always runs like crap after. Put in some heat abd ut will clear it up. So dont say that they dont.
Yes. Run the powers on one side and the RCA on the other. It will cause interference if you have anything with power touching the RCA. It can cause a whinning sound thru the speakers.
You might try putting in a can of heat gas treatment. It will take any water out of the system. Also might run a can of octane nooster too. Never buy cheaper gas from a ghetto gas station. They do add water. Learned the hard way too.
I would do it yourself. I had exhaust done on my camaro years ago and they wouldnt let me out to show them how i wanted it ran. Pissed me off. So never again will i have someone do exhaust on my car.
