    EFI Fuel Tank

https://ecat.spectrapremium.com/en/parts/GM306C The gm306c Spectra tank is listed for the fuel injected Monte Carlo. Another pic with a rough drawing of the baffles and output of the filler neck, directly into the rear area of the tank. It passes through the front baffle, so when filling I can...

    EFI Fuel Tank

Thanks for the info on the spectra tank. Ordered the 306c via Amazon. I can vouch for the info shared above that the baffles appear to be deep and are in 2 zones from what I can see. The entire width of the tank is split (front to back) with a tall baffle then the area arround the sending unit...

    Advice for GOOD tires

While researching tire size options, I found the below website to be very helpful in comparing sizes against each other, and against stock. Given that final gearing, rpm at various speeds depends directly on the diameter, in my case it was important to stay as close to 26 inches in diameter as...

    Advice for GOOD tires

Thanks a lot for the excellent feedback and diverse opinions. I'm also partial to Michelin from running their tires on a motorcycle. Dunlop too on the MC, but haven't tried their auto tires. I ended up going a low-cost route of some mildly run Michelin Pilot Super Sports, in 235/45r18. This...

    Astro van steering shafts

Thanks and shout out to Ostrich for being an honest seller with integrity. He accidentally sent me a non-reclocked shaft and before I knew it he sent an additional re-clocked shaft for my '88 SS. After clearance-ing the steering shaft (in car) for the pinch-bolt of the new shaft, it fit in...

    Advice for GOOD tires

Hi all, I'm looking for your advice on tire models that you have personal experience with that satisfy the following: 1./ Provide very good dry and wet traction, handling, braking, steering 2./ The ride quality is not too harsh (stiff is fine, not jarring) 3./ Is in the approx $150/tire range...

Brake to Wheel Clearance. What is Too Close??

I think that's too close. A quick look at Baer's template for caliper to wheel clearance indicates a minimum of of 0.100in clearance for their brakes, and likely applicable to your setting. Ref: http://www.baer.com/templates/N085P.pdf So perhaps a very thin spacer is in order?

    Seats lower or further back?

It's been about 20 years but on my first SS, I used Fbody seat tracks with a few small brackets welded to them to match up with the Gbody mounts. I'm 6'4 and it worked out very well. I also used GTA seats at the time, but the Monte seats worked as well. The Fbody tracks were at least an inch...
