Well, i just did this swap with the mighty 5.3. no, its definetly not an LS1 or 6.0 but it sure is a hell of alot more fun then the 3.8. i can understand some very valid points made on this thread of the possible potential of this motor and also the insane anount of work it may take to get...

5.3 is a VERY inexpensive way to get some great HP and also not kill your pockets. i would really suggest you stick with the F.I. its not that hard to wire up and reliability is also good to have. $500 sounds really good to me. i spent closer to $1000 for mine (although it only had 34K mi on...

i used a rear from an 87 Monte SS. Got posi and 3.73 gears. Thae swap is very easy and the rears can be had for around $200.

i believe thats actually the "C" pillar. "B" pillar is present only if its a 4door. You always have an "A" piller and "C"pillar.

the relay is just behind the glove box (i removed my glove box to get to it) to the left. i took this to my local NAPA and they were unable to help me. i did some other Googleing and found thie panel is called electroluminesint and is powered by a 110v converter (with i'm pretty sure is this...

Dirty, i got into mine and found a label on a small box (The size of a standard relay) thay read 110v. it looked like it went to the dash plaque, so i stoped there... if pissible post pics. ill try and get some of the box im talking about.

i went with the Pypes 2.5" with the x pipe and RacePro mufflers on my LS swap and is sounds FANTASTIC :D Just another option to consider......
