Boo Boo on my Bu

Postby patmckinneyracing on Sat Nov 28, 2009 11:37 pm

Well i posted previously that about a month and a half ago, my 80 malibu blew the tailshaft housing to pieces cause I didn't check the needle bearings in the u joint caps. Luckily I got it back to the house. So I've spent my thanksgiving break from college fixing the problem and repainting the engine. here's a pic:

So today I finally got the engine all back together, had a new tailshaft housing on, and a new u joint. To my amazement, the transmissions ran just as good as it did before. So after I take it for a few test drives, I park it behind my dakota in the driveway instead of behind my dads toyota 4runner knowing he had to leave for the store. So when he is leaving, he cuts his wheels to stay on the driveway cause he didn't want his tires on the dirt and gravel (Don't know why, says it would wear out his tires). He was only looking out his driver side mirror but not his passenger one, which was the side my bu was on. His bumper ends up his my car at about an 11 o clock angle and right into my quarter behind the door. After spending all of my thanksgiving break fixing up my car, It ended up f***ed up again. Just freaken great.

Him doing that just opened a whole can of worms. We've been arguing over money and crap since I started college. I dropped my navy scholarship because it was a shitty program and now he's holding it against me. So now he doesn't want to help me with college at all and has been making me give him money for what he describes as "rent" for when I go home on the weekends. Problem is I've been clearing his property and doing tons of heavy landscaping work, to the point where it would amount to almost $5000 easily for the trees and other crap I've cleared.

When I started yelling at him, he got back in his 4runner and threw it in reverse again acting like he was gonna take the whole quarter off. When he was doing that, I had an axe ready to swing at his 67' dodge dart, so he stopped right there before I smashed his car to pieces.

well that sucks!!!
if you had a navy scholarship (i'm assuming ROTC) you should have absolutely no problem getting replacement scholarships. i remember when my brother was going for/got his.

Sucks that he hit it there!! At least if he hit the door or fender it would be easier to fix. I'm guessing he doesn't want to use his insurance? Maybe when he calms down and accepts responsibility he'll come around to paying for it and or cutting you a $break$
