you can drop the rear of the fender down by taking out 1 shim in the top rear of fender open hood the one tall bolt there might be a shim under the fender and loosen the bolt under the rear of the fender you mighr have to add a shim there also the fender is to far in on the bottom there are...
just used dum dum like the factory did you will see it when you unscrew the channels the stuff never gets hard but seals out water you will have to gently pry the channels off it a little sticky
after i did all the adjustments i still had that gap then i took the weatherstripping out and moved the channel out ward and drilled new holes no more wind noise
does the hood line up ? if so good . in your pics with the absorber un bolted looks like where the bolts are in the frame that flange is bent a little 'straighten that flange out no big deal if that is bent the flange on the absorber is also bent measure the length of the absorber it needs to...
can;t see them in your picture are they the same black plastic the strips are made of ? if so they are probably part of the strip not made to come out but you can hammer a screwdriver with the tip on the black plastic on one side then the other better pic will help are you putting on new strips ?
