I did the fitech system on my Malibu a few years ago. Used a gn tank and aeromotive fuel pump and it has been great. No issues here.

Looks rough paint wise. As far as body i would keep the pontiac parts just because it's different and less common. As far as interior parts in I'm sure it shares parts with other gbody pontiacs. If the chassis and interiors aren't chewed up maybe with the 2k.

I used stock c5 corvette brake lines. I took broke my lines when using stock gbody lines. No issues. I'm also using kore3 brackets

Typical rust spot is the body mounts below the firewall. These rust through. This may or may not affect it. Mine were rotted through.

How are the bushings body mounts. Is anything rotted through the frame?

On the direct drum you can use a fine grit sandpaper to polish it up as long as there is no scoring on it. I think I used 800 grit on mine.
