Congrats! Beautiful car. Can you tell me about the stance and what you have done to the suspension? What are the wheel and tire sizes?

Re: Congratulations to 1984 Big Block H/O our August '14 Win

Hey all-- I just wanted to thank everyone for the awesome responses. It's a real honor for me that's for sure!!! I bought this car from a friend of mine back in 1998 and have been working on it ever since. Started out as a roller with no motor/trans and I built a tuned port small block for it way back before very many people were doing that conversion. I tore it apart back in October of 2008 so I could start gathering parts. It needed floors, doors, front air dam, rear deck lid, rear wheel tubs, and a lot of fixing in the t top area. The front suspension is global west upper and lower control arms with 2" drop coils and Strange adjustable shocks. The rear suspension is a custom Art Morrison 4 link with the rear frame rails moved in 5" in the back with an Art Morrison custom sway bar and Strange coil-overs. I sent it to the body shop in Dec of 2011 where it spent 15 months there. It came back from there as a finely painted rolling shell. I ordered a BTR Performance 496 Olds/ CK Performance 200-4r for it as well. It took me almost 2 more years to get it together after that. There hasn't been a nut or bolt that hasn't been touched or fixed in one way or the other. As most of you know, the build got very expensive and took way longer than I thought. I was able to take my first test drive this past July and we took it to The Car Craft Summer Nationals in St. Paul, MN and just had a blast. It still has a lot of minor details that need to be addressed, but has been a lot of fun this summer. My wife and two daughters love going for rides in it which makes it all worth it. Thanks again from me and my family and I can't wait to catch up with some of you at future car events. Aaron :D
