Haven’t been doing much on the car for the last couple months. Wiring’s been tidied up as much as it can get without starting from scratch.
Save for a starter change, and distributor swap that’s hit a wall until the weekend I’ve just primed the front and rear window moldings:

The color of this 2 in 1 primer is actually so nice I almost want to leave these pieces as is, but I’ll topcoat with SEM trim black and hopefully they won’t need respray’d this time around. That stuff’s so finicky when it comes to painting conditions.

Was able to get the Monte right again I think, was having trouble getting the power probe to send power to get the trunk to pop. So when I saw it was showing ground on the power distribution block I said there had to be another ground issue. Turns out when we put the new starter in the wiring barely made it to where it needed to so when I went back down to look since it was stretched as far as it could it ended up working against the pan and grounding the signal to the solenoid as well as that power wire to junction block. So we had to pull the starter again and mess with the wires. I didn't get many pics this time but now I feel like it should be in a better place and hopefully takes care of the hot start issues.

99% of the time anything electrical going potato is a ground issue. Get it fixed up and see what it does.
Thats the hope, and the other thing my buddy found out is apparently the Edlebrocks read 1.5 volt lower than they are for some reason for some people

Spoke with a 3M rep a few weeks back and decided that all of the NOS badges for my Cutlass would need to have new adhesive tape applied before installing them on the car. I went with his product recommendation.

I pulled the backing tape on the trunk lock emblem and there was no adhesion at all. So I got the two fender rocket emblems and the trunk lock emblems done before the Bruins / Leafs game. Not excited to do the script badges on the sail panels and trunk, a lot of cutting around letters and such.

I don't know if it's still in production but at one time 3M sold these clear adhesive transfer strips. how it worked was you would leave the existing foam adhesive on the back of your script and press this transfer on and upon removal it left the adhesive where it needed to be and only where it needed to be.was a time saver.
