Theres loads of room under a g body. The summit brand generic X pipe setup should work great. If your waiting for a review just gimme a month or two and I'll shoot some pics of it when I get mine done.

I ran an x-pipe instead of the h-pipe, here's some pics. It's a Pypes x-pipe system and homemade crossmember.

I went with a Pypes X pipe too along with turbo mufflers and Flowmaster tail pipes modified to exit behind the tire on my 83 El Camino.

Homemade crossmsmber looks good. I think it would have looked cleaner if your mufflers were flat instead of at an angle

I was still fitting at that point(although it still sits like that). I was having some issues with making the tails clear with how low the car sits. The slight angle of the mufflers helped with that.

I had mine run down the rt side.In to a dual inlet, duel outlet cat converter then split in to duels with super 50's FM mufflers.
I have a link to youtube so you can hear how it sounds.
You don't need to modify the cross member, because the 2 in 2 out cat acts like a intermix chamber much less work and expense then a x pipe or the old h pipe. It still performed and sounds very nice, check it out
