I had two of the cheap threaded rod spring compressors, I tried renting one but after it slipped and the spring unloaded on my left hand I said screw that thing and went back to my two cheap ones. I did it all by myself, took me a few days and some swearing but I got it.

Well, I've been working a lot lately haven't had much time for the cutlass. Been slowly trying to clean up some of the nuts and bolts for the car.Been making pretty good progress.

I think the color I am going to go with is the dark jadestone metallic green. I believe it was an early 80's color.

I got few new parts in the mail today. Now I just have to find the time to do some work. I need to finish with my brake and gas lines. Then I plan on dropping in my motor and transmission. After thats all done or somewhere in between I am gonna tackle my rear axle.

I also have these to put on the axle as well...

Great Job!! It's giving me goose bumps. I'm doing the same thing (frame off etc.), and it makes me want to take a few days off and thrash on my project. Keep up the good work. Keep the pics coming.

Yeah, I've been working on this for quite a while now. Haven't had much time lately been working a lot myself.

Back at it again. Been a busy holiday season but trying to get something done. I've decided to try and tackle the rear brakes and diff swap.

So I've pretty much got it tore down. I broke three of the four 8mm bolts that hold the backing plate on. I guess its alright becasue the holes are getting drilled out anyway for the ls1 brakes. So the next step is get them out, drill the holes bigger, get the ls1 backing plates on, then swap out the diff and all the seal, races, etc.... so stay tuned.
